Excellent Sunday lunch in perfect sunny spot. We were booked to sit inside but decided to make the most of the sunshine - especially liked that half the outdoor sitting is non-smoking. Roast beef was great and nut roast very tasty. Little one decided on a burger - wow - we hoped she would leave some for us! So good to find a pub that puts as much effort into the childrens menu as they did the adults. The inside is surprisingly spacious so don't be put off if it looks busy. Excellent service - we'll definitely be back when in the area.

I really want to keep this place secret and to myself, but I just can't. My reviews are honest and I don't write many, unless I feel I really want to. Absolutely beautiful place with history and character. The new owners are lovely and can't do enough to make you feel welcome and valued. Food was freshly cooked and prepared. Everything was perfect. Such a treat these days.

Went to The Swan for afternoon tea. The venue did not disappoint, the village of Lavenham is lovely as is The Swan. Staff was attentive and kind. While the food was lovely, I have to say the actual tea was a bit of a disappointment as it was just Twinings tea. We really would have expected loose leaf tea for the venue and price paid. Otherwise we found the overall experience quite nice and I would definitely return to the Swan for the food.

We were driving by and popped in for lunch. Pleasantly surprised - friendly owner and very pleasant interior. The ploughman's was excellent and they catered well for my dietary requirements. Good one.

Been taken over and is under new ownership. The new owners are striking the right balance between good pub food and fair pricing in a really lovely old village pub. I hope they get the success and following that they are working hard for.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Swan Inn in the charming village of Monks Eleigh and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The owners were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Their warm and chatty demeanor made us feel right at home. We were even greeted by the friendly pub dog. The rooms were cozy and well-appointed, providing all the essentials for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the bottled water and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight of my stay. The meal was delicious and served hot, with a variety of options to choose from. The combination of the charming setting, welcoming owners, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast made for a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this lovely inn to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Suffolk.

The Swan is in a beautiful Suffolk village full of thatched cottages. The pub itself is full of history and original features but with a modern spin. Steve and Julie are very welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and accommodation spotlessly clean and comfortable. We certainly intend to stay again and explore the stunning Suffolk countryside

Good local pub. Very cosy inside. Very traditional with wooden beams, fire and thatched roof. Nice ales and good pub food. Very friendly staff too. They’ve also got accommodation too. Good in summer too as they have some nice outdoor seating which looks over the lovely village of Monks Eleigh.
